Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-16

These terms describe the rules of using we are here. (the "Service"), a paid community run by Brad Frost Web (a non-profit organization). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

We've tried to keep this short and readable. Where we use legal language, it's because we have to — not because we're trying to slip something past you.

1. Who can use this

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you're accepting these terms on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

You agree to provide accurate information during signup and to keep it up to date.

2. Your account

3. Membership and payment

we are here. is a paid community. That's a feature, not a bug — paid membership is what keeps us sustainable, keeps bad actors and bots out, and means we never need to sell ads or your data.

4. What you can do

While your membership is active, you can:

5. What you can't do

You agree not to:

Our Code of Conduct goes into more detail about what behavior is expected. You're expected to follow it.

6. Suspension and termination

We can suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or the Code of Conduct. For serious or repeated violations we may terminate immediately. For less severe issues we'll usually try to contact you first.

You can terminate your own account at any time. After termination:

7. Content you share

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display and distribute it within the Service so the community can see it. That license ends when you delete the content or your account.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post things you don't have the right to share.

8. Our content and brand

The we are here. name, logo, visual design, and code are the property of Brad Frost Web. You don't get any rights to them by using the Service. Ask us before using them outside the community.

9. Community safety

We care about keeping the community healthy. We reserve the right to:

We don't actively surveil members. We do act when something gets reported or flagged.

10. Third-party services and links

The Service is a "home base, not a walled garden" — we'll link you out to other communities, places, and resources. We don't control those third-party sites, and we're not responsible for what happens on them. Use your judgment.

11. Changes to the Service

We're a small team building something carefully. Features may change, improve, or go away. Where a change materially reduces what your membership gets you, we'll tell you in advance.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify you at least 30 days in advance by email and show a notice in the product. If you don't agree with the updated terms, you can cancel before they take effect.

Minor edits (fixing typos, clarifying language) happen without advance notice and are reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running, accurate, and useful, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or fit any particular purpose.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Brad Frost Web is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; where that's the case, they apply to the fullest extent permitted.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Brad Frost Web against claims, damages, and costs arising from content you post, your use of the Service, or your violation of these terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
